What if a campaign doesn't reach its goal?+
For all-or-nothing campaigns, every backer is refunded in full, to the same payment method. Keep-what-you-raise campaigns keep what they collected; the page always says which kind it is.
When does the creator get the money?+
After the campaign ends successfully. We release it from escrow to the creator's verified bank account, minus the platform and payment fees.
Is my payment safe?+
Payments go through a licensed payment gateway. Shunya.me never sees your card or UPI PIN. Money waits in escrow, not with the creator.
Can I get a tax receipt?+
Yes, for donation campaigns run by organisations with a valid 80G certificate. The receipt is in your account and emailed to you.
Who checks the campaigns?+
Our review team and state teams. They check identity, the story, the goal and the rewards before anything goes live, and act on reports.
